A music genius from the age of five years old, Assia Ahhatt started with nothing but a violin and rose from poverty into a world-class musician. Although she is classically trained, Assia’s heart is in modern ballads.
On this extravaganza featuring some of the artist’s favorite songs, Assia shows off her skills woven into a brilliant tapestry with a full orchestra, background dancers, singers and PBS music sensation, Ethan Bortnick.
Hear modern classic like you have never heard them before: interpreted by one of contemporary music’s best violin soloists, Assia Ahhatt.
The concert features soulful renditions of classic American and International hits that have inspired Assia’s transcendent musical career from Katrina and the Waves’ hit song "Walking on Sunshine" and Secret Garden’s contemporary Christian tune, "You Raise Me Up," all of the way to Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 timeless classic “I Will Survive," and the beautiful music of "Copa Cabanna"
Come along on a musical journey as Assia’s truly magical violin transports her audience to a place where there is only music and yesterday is not quite so far away.
This concert is for all ages and the entire family.
