San Francisco Nonprofit Launches Carbon Challenge
Californians who might think they know the best ways to cut carbon emissions throughout the state now have a chance to prove it.
Next 10, a nonprofit research group, has put together an interactive app that presents users with about two dozen ways to cut down carbon emissions in California and shows just how those changes impact the environment.
The aim is to help Californians better understand some of the policies enacted to keep air, water and land clean.
"We created the California Carbon Challenge to show what the challenges and opportunities for reducing emissions are, and to also engage and inform people who are trying to better understand what those policies do," said F. Noel Perry, founder of Next 10, in a news release.
