Italy again appeals to its European neighbors to contribute troops to a U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. Italy has offered to lead the 15,000-strong force, promising to send up to 3,000 troops, provided others major European powers contribute to the force. But other European powers have been slow to accept the challenge.
