Contador Wins Scandal-Scarred Tour de France

Spaniard Alberto Contador, 24, won a Tour de France scarred by doping scandals on Sunday.

He had seemed destined for second place but took the lead when Denmark's Michael Rasmussen was sent home for missing doping tests. Two other riders failed tests during the race.

Despite the scandals, crowds turned out in Paris to greet Contador, who won by just 23 seconds — one of the narrowest victories in the race's 104-year history.
