Rebels Claim Responsibility in Pipeline Attack

A leftist rebel group has claimed responsibility for bombing oil pipelines in Mexico this week — the second attack in as many months. The explosions on Monday hit six pipelines, disrupting oil and gas supplies and forcing thousands from their homes. The attacks caused millions of dollars in damage to state oil monopoly Pemex and created immediate and long-term destabilizing effects for Mexico.
