European Leaders Confer on Stabilizing Markets

The leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Italy met Tuesday in London to discuss the world's financial turmoil.

Joined by the head of the European Union, the leaders met amid a world credit shortage, stock market volatility and the impact of a massive bank fraud in France — and as the International Monetary Fund cut its forecast for world economic growth this year.
