Egyptian voters head to the polls Tuesday in local elections that have been marked by a crackdown by the authorities on candidates from the Muslim Brotherhood. More than 1,000 candidates and supporters have been arrested in recent weeks. The group says fewer than 10 percent of its candidates were allowed onto local ballots.
