Blue Sky Feels A Little Different In Beijing

Air quality in Beijing has been improving steadily since July 26, says University of Rhode Island atmospheric chemist Kenneth Rahn. Rahn, who plots the daily air quality in Beijing, decodes "blue sky days" and other measures of air quality for Alex Chadwick. Unfortunately, it looks like the air is going to get worse right around the start of the Olympics, he says. Below, a chart plotting air quality and a graphic explaining what these numbers mean.
