Anthony Davis will be at the San Diego Central Library on Saturday to talk about his opera “The Central Park Five” and his artistic approach to social and political issues.

"Art is a way to give more context and let people identify and feel the emotion of it," Davis said.

From his opera "The Central Park Five" to "X: The Life and Times of Malcolm," Davis believes it’s an artist’s responsibility to address current events and politics through their work. He'll be talking about his career Saturday at the San Diego Central Library and joined Midday Edition on Tuesday to discuss his artistic approach to social and political issues.
