Camp Pendleton Marines Return Home from Tsunami Mission

When the biggest recorded earthquake in Japan's history (and subsequent tsunami) hit the island nation on March 11, the people of Japan were in dire need of fresh water, food, and medical supplies. The San Diego-based USS Ronald Reagan changed course immediately on that tragic March day and headed toward Japan, providing desperately-needed humanitarian support.

Roughly 200 Camp Pendleton Marines also traveled over to Japan, via the USS Essex, to help. As Home Post blogged:

That group of Marines returned home to Camp Pendleton yesterday, and KPBS reporter Alison St John was there to greet them and learn their stories. She spoke to Golf Company commander Capt. Benjamin Middendorf, who told her of what he saw, and what he learned of an Oshima prophesy:
