Libyan officials say Moammar Gadhafi is dead. Mahmoud Shammam, the information minister of Libya's transitional government, told the Associated Press:
Mustafa Abdul-Jalil is the prime minister of Libya's transitional government.
It appears NATO was involved in rooting out Gadhafi. Col. Roland Lavoie, spokesman for NATO's operational headquarters in Italy, told USA Today it was NATO aircraft that hit a convoy of "pro-Gadhafi forces":
Gadhafi was then reportedly pulled from the convoy and shot by revolutionary forces.
