A new Facebook page has popped up, created by supporters of the Marines videotaped urinating on Taliban corpses. The page is aptly called "Stand United with Our Marine Heroes Against 'Urinegate'" and you can find it by clicking here.
There are currently about 1,300 fans of the page. Those behind it describe it this way:
The site is even advertising a T-shirt in support of the "Urinegate" Marines (see picture above). The creator claims $4 spent on each T-shirt will go towards the non-profit group A Dollar to Care.
As Home Post reported yesterday, war veteran Rep. Duncan Hunter argued in a letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that the "Urinegate" Marines should be punished ' but they should not face anything as harsh as prison sentences.
According to the Washington Times, the Marines in the controversial video are members of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines Expeditionary Force out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
