Veterans Village San Diego Produces Memorial Day Tribute, 'In Their Honor'

In Their Honor

Veterans Village of San Diego produced a Memorial Day tribute to soldiers who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. The collection of photographs gives viewers a glimpse into the intensity of battle, the horrors of losing a fellow soldier and the pain family and friends are left to bear.

Elle Masri

Elle Masri worked for KPBS since 2011, first as a volunteer coordinator and then as a production assistant in the newsroom. Elle attended San Diego State University where she pursued a degree in international business. She hopes to eventually earn an MBA. Elle is a San Diego native and alumni of Canyon Crest Academy High School. She is currently a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and Rotaract. She is also a certified peer educator through GAMMA. Outside of work, Elle enjoys riding her horses, photography, volunteering, and traveling.
