After rescuers again failed to find any sign of the six men trapped in the collapsed Crandall Canyon coal mine in Utah, officials say a fifth hole will be drilled. Meanwhile, a community struggles to hang on to hope that the miners will ever come out alive.

In communities near the mine, residents have organized fundraising walks and car washes to help the families of the trapped miners. Nearly two weeks since the first collapse, it seems almost every event — a dance, a barbecue, an arts festival — turns into a fundraiser, a support gathering and a show of faith.
Crystal Tyerman, whose family organized a car wash in a Kmart parking lot in Price, Utah, says the idea just popped into her head.
"God put it on my heart," she says. "I just feel that that's the only explanation because I don't know how else it would have just came to me like it did."
