Four major California universities and a prominent civic engagement group are hoping to engage California voters before the November election.
They created the CaliforniaChoices.org website to arm voters with information about the 11 statewide propositions.
Non-partisan Next 10 and UC Berkeley worked with UC San Diego, Stanford and California State Sacramento to put together the information on the initiatives.
The website explains the measures, gives arguments on each side and shows endorsements.
"It shows what the leading newspapers in the state, what initiatives they're supporting, which ones they're not supporting," said Next 10 founder Noel Perry. "It also includes the support or lack of support for initiatives by various organizations across the state."
Voters can also store how they want to vote so they can call up the information on their smart phones in the voting booth.
