With voters set to go to the polls Tuesday, the San Diego County Registrar of Voters Office is looking for bilingual poll workers and reserve workers.
Under federal law, the registrar's office must provide poll workers who speak Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese and make voting materials available in those languages. Volunteers who speak Khmer, Japanese, Korean and Hindi also are needed.
Poll workers, who are required to attend a two-hour class to qualify, are paid $75-$175 per day, and those who speak more languages than English can get an extra $15.
Poll workers must be registered to vote, a permanent legal resident and have transportation to their assigned polling place, according to the registrar. They also need Internet access to complete training.

Voters will decide races for governor and lieutenant governor, Assembly and Senate, as well as congressional seats and municipal offices.
