Two 16-year-old boys were in custody today accused of being part of a group of juvenile gang members who attacked a group of young women in Colina del Sol, sending one of the victim to the hospital with a stab wound, police said.
The gang members, all males about 16, attacked a group of women in their 20s in the 5000 block of Trojan Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
One of the women, a 22-year-old, was stabbed in her lower abdomen, Stafford said, adding that the wound was not life-threatening.
She and the other women ran away from the attack, he said.
The two teens in custody were arrested overnight and officers were looking for other gang members, according to Stafford.
San Diego police gang detectives were investigating.
