Power Restored To 2,000 San Diego County Residents

San Diego Gas & Electric is reporting that power has been restored for about 2,000 homes and businesses affected by outages early Thursday.

Power went out at for more than 1,000 customers at approximately 8:05 a.m. in the Rancho Penasquitos area. The outage was casued by aq line being damaged at a construction area.

Another outage was reported in the Ocean Beach, Midway, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, Old Town and Lindbergh Field areas at about 6:27 a.m. About 1,000 homes and businesses were affected. SDGE said a bird flew into a power line, resulting in the outage.
