Police were on the lookout Wednesday for the man who groped a UC San Diego student as she jogged near the La Jolla campus.
The victim told police the suspect approached her from behind and groped her as she ran in the vicinity of La Jolla Village and La Jolla Scenic drives around 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to news reports.
An alert warning of the sexual battery incident was sent to members of the campus community, according to a university police dispatcher.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his late 20s and about 5 feet 5. He was wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts.
