Conversations about life before, during and after action provide a deeper appreciation for those who’ve served.

Our after-school art classes nurture artistic growth through more advanced exploration of color theory, composition, and techniques. Young artists will enhance their skills in painting, drawing, and mixed media, focusing on developing their unique style and creative problem-solving. Parents are welcome to drop off their child for class or stay in the room during the hour while students create. The inaugural KPBS San Diego Book Festival on the University of San Diego campus is a free event for book lovers of all ages. Attendees will enjoy panel discussions with award-winning authors, activities, live entertainment, exhibitors including local authors and independent booksellers, and more.

This is our opportunity to share with you and the San Diego community our research, scholarship, and artistic practices. Open Studios will feature over 25 MFA & PhD artists' open studios, exhibitions, screenings, and publications produced in the Department of Visual Arts. Reignite your creative spark at a fun interactive course for adults this summer. From playwriting, to acting to musical theatre, Spotlight On courses are designed for people 18 years and over, of all levels of experience from beginner to professional. Everyone is welcome. Led by our accomplished and welcoming teaching artists, Spotlight On offers a casual, supportive environment that inspires life-long learning and community. Courses are offered as a Summer series and a Fall/ Winter series in 6-7 week sessions, with weekly 2-hour classes.
