  • Tuesdays, July 8, 15, 22, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. In this intermediate crochet series, Instructor Martina Villanueva will students will expand on stitches learned in our 3-Week Crochet Fundamentals series while teaching you how to create granny squares. Students will learn the fundamentals of crochet pattern reading, how to join granny squares, the many uses for, and how to get started on incorporating granny squares as building blocks for future projects. Students must have a working knowledge of single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), chain (ch) and magic circle. Students are welcome to bring their own yarn and/or hook, but it is not necessary. We will be using size 4 yarn and between 4.00mm and 6.00mm crochet hooks. You don’t have to bring your own supplies but you are welcome to. This is an intermediate Crochet series. Students must have completed 3-Week Crochet Fundamentals or be proficient with single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), chain (ch) and magic circle before beginning the series. You will learn how and get to create tiny pottery on a mini pottery wheel. No previous pottery experience necessary! In this 2-hour class, you will learn to create 1-3 tiny pots and can add some color if you would like to. You will learn how to center the clay and open it up to form tiny pots, bowls, or plates. This class is a great way to learn the basics of a wheel on a small scale. It is less intimidating and is an accessible way to throw and center clay. Grab a friend or family member who’s been curious about ceramics and come join me in creating tiny pottery! No experience necessary. Ages 12+ welcome!
