On Saturday, August 24th, 2025 Delightful Dolls of Southern CA will present a doll show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be many unique things at our show, from antique / vintage clothes, furniture, wigs, shoes, teddy bears, and, of course, artist dolls, antique dolls, vintage dolls, and all other types of doll-related merchandise for all interests. We will also have someone stringing dolls if you have a doll that needs restringing. We will also be having a raffle to contribute to children’s charities. Please join us and bring a doll or teddy to dress, and you will get a $1.00 discount from our $6.00 admission. Children under 12 are free with paying adults. Parking is extra. Working with a life model, students will learn to identify and depict the core “gesture” of any pose. Emphasis is on short poses with the goal of increasing our ability to capture the body in motion. By focusing on the “verb” of the pose, and not the “noun,” we will explore the storytelling potential of the figure. This is an excellent class for those interested in animation and the entertainment arts or for anyone looking to inject more dynamism into their life-drawing practice.
