A San Diego public works employee on the scene of that water main break on Ingraham Street near Sea World now says he expects both lanes to be reopened sometime later Friday afternoon.
Crews are working on repaving a section of roadway damaged when the water main broke. They've already repaired the broken pipe. City officials blame aging pipes for the break.
The road closure caused traffic headaches Thursday and today as traffic is re-routed around the area. There's been a series of water main breaks around San Diego caused by pipes that are decades old.
