Gloria Penner on Supreme Court Upholding of Indianas Voter ID Law
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Tom Fudge : Just a couple of days ago, the U.S. Supreme Court weighed in on the presidential race. Don't worry, they didn't decide who the next president is going to be. This isn't like last time.
This time they made a significant decision about what states will be allowed to require of people who come to the polls to vote. Essentially, they said if states want to require voters to show photo ID’s to prove they are who they say they are, that's okay.
Interestingly, the case they ruled on comes from Indiana. That's interesting because next week is the Indiana presidential primary.
