Alan Rickman in another performance to be savored in Bottle Shock (Freestyle Releasing)
In 1976 France felt a jolt the aftershocks of which they are still trying to deny. That was the year when a blind Paris wine tasting (now known as "Judgment of Paris") between venerable French wines and upstart California ones yielded unexpected results. The wine world experienced a global shift and that real life event provides the basis for the new film Bottle Shock (opening August 15 at Landmark's La Jolla Village and Hillcrest Cinemas).
NOTE: Director Randall Miller and producer Jody Savin will be in person Friday, August 15 at 7:20pm at the Hillcrest, and Saturday, August 16 at 1:40pm at the La Jolla Village. Click through to watch the trailer.
