In response to the killing of Osama bin Laden by U.S. forces, Southern California Edison officials say security at U.S. nuclear plants and other utility facilities around the country are increasing security.
Southern California Edison officials say U.S. nuclear plants such as the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station are among the nation's most secure facilities.

Gil Alexander with Edison said the plants are always operated at a high state of alert.
"Southern California Edison has been advised by national security officials to raise the security level at other key utility infrastructure facilities as a precautionary measure," said Alexander.
