A New Orleans native, Dennis-Michael Broussard is the founder of Silk Road Productions, an event management and production firm, through which he has created acclaimed special events and raised thousands of dollars for numerous non-profit organizations.

Even though event management is his company’s focus, Mr. Broussard’s commitment to bringing the community together around social, educational and informational services through events has made him an icon in the Asian Pacific Islander community and beyond. He is responsible for bringing several important events to San Diego: the Asian Cultural Festival; the Filipino American Culture and Heritage Festival; and the AMP Music Festival.

His involvement as a board member, volunteer or committee member include organizations such as: the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Africa Aid, the San Diego Asian Film Foundation, the San Diego Chinese Center, the Foundation for Change, the Asian American Journalists Association, the Korean American Coalition, the National Association of Asian American Professionals among others.

He is the recipient of numerous awards including Cox Communications’ Asian Pacific American Heritage Outstanding Individuals and the Asian Business Association’s Community Service Award. Mr. Broussard has a reputation for being down to earth, inspirational to others, a leader in the community and willing to take action for the benefit of the San Diego community.
