Wal-Mart Not Worried About Worker Protests

— A union-backed group is expecting thousands of Wal-Mart workers around the U.S. to picket the nation's largest retailer on Black Friday, but it's unclear how widespread the effort will be in San Diego.

Wal-Mart spokeswoman Rachel Wall

The pro-union group Our Walmart expects a robust turnout of current employees for the informational picket. They are trying to raise awareness about retaliation against Wal-Mart associates.

The retailer had hoped to block the protest on Black Friday, but legal challenges won't be decided in time.

The company concedes there are some unhappy workers, but they say they are clearly in the minority.

"And we encourage them to take them to their managers, our open door policy is always there, but I have to say this is a very small percentage of our associates," said Wal-Mart spokeswoman Rachel Wall. "We employ more than 72,000 people in the state of California, 1.3 million people nationally, and the majority of our associates are looking forward to Black Friday sales. They are looking forward to the holiday season."

Wall said local Wal-Mart stores will be open on Black Friday and all advertised weekend sales will go forward as planned.

The wealth of the Walton Family who owns Wal Mart is worth more than the bottom 40 % of Americans combined.

Their net worth is ~$102.7 billion, while the 49 MILLION FAMILIES who make up the nations bottom percent are worth collectively less.

SO, the greedy pigs at Wal Mart are worth more than tens of millions of Americans combined, yet they refuse to give all their employees health insurance and living wages.

For those who think this is capitalism, think again.

This is about dictatorship and power grabbing.

Wal Mart does not simply "provide what the public wants".

On the contrary, Wal Mart uses wealth and lawyers to bypass regulations others must follow in order to bully local governments into allowing them to erect their air-hangar sized Red-Chinese junk peddling behemoths wherever they want, destroying small businesses, historic buildings, and the environment as they do so.

If Wal Mart were a country, it would be like North Korea - a rogue regime where the populace lives in poverty while the rulers amass hordes of wealth and power.

Rachel Wal can don her fake jeweled necklace and come on public television looking possessed as she spews her dictators propaganda, but the public is wising-up the the fact that Wal Mart is bad for our country.

Happy thanksgiving everyone, and please stay out of Wal Mart stores this holiday season!!
