In this introductory level class, we’ll make Italian White Beans with Sage, Garlic and Fennel and use sage three different ways. We’ll also study two additional recipes and discuss how layering flavor is the key to their success: Lemon and Shrimp Risotto with Fresh Basil and Spice-Crusted Steak with Charred Chickpeas (note: we will not make these two recipes in class).
As we cook and talk, we’ll cover both why we layer flavor and how to do it. The techniques are easy and will transform your home cooking immediately. You will learn when to use fewer ingredients and how to use them fully so that your food always tastes great.
