“THE STRANGER” (1946. 95 minutes. Not Rated)
Orson Welles spins a web of intrigue and deceit in this baroque chiller. A government agent (Edward G. Robinson) tracks a fugitive war criminal (Welles) crafting a new identity in a quaint Connecticut town with his unsuspecting wife (Loretta Young).

FILM FORUM CORONADO is held in the Winn Room at the Coronado Public Library on the First and Third Wednesdays of each month at 6 p.m., with a brief introduction before the film and a discussion afterward, led by Ralph DeLauro. This program is presented by the Coronado Public Library and the Coronado Island Film Festival.
