Election Day is tomorrow and many busy San Diegans may not have had time yet to research the issues on the ballot. They can let their fingers do the walking as there are now many online guides for voters. KPBS reporter Beth Ford Roth explains.
"Smartvoter.org" by the League of Woman Voters lists the arguments for and against the propositions. It also provides information on local contests like the San Diego Mayor's race.
"Easyvoter.org" is sponsored by the California State Library and the Secretary of State's office. Executive Director Susan Clark says it provides clear, non-partisan information.
Clark: "A hallmark of the easy voter guide is the simple language, and we have community members review it, to take out the jargon and the lawyer talk."
The non-partisan California Voter Foundation published the California Online Voter Guide at "calvoter.org." The Guide lists the top contributors to the pro and con sides of the propositions, and news articles on the initiatives.
