Imperial Valley economy booms

The Imperial Valley's economy continues to boom, more shopping centers are opening their doors, and housing is on the rise. We talk about the Imperial Valley and the new issues it faces.

What's new in the Imperial Valley? A lot more than you might think. The economy continues to boom and more grand shopping centers are opening their doors - in fact the area is now home to the Imperial Valley Mall and the first of three Wal-Mart Supercenters. But most important is the tremendous housing growth in the region. There are endless new housing developments because more people are choosing to make IV their home. But the Valley still has its fair share of problems. We talk about those lingering problems and new issues the Imperial Valley faces.
