Oceanside movie theater pursues alcohol license
CinemaStar, a movie theater complex in Oceanside, could be the first theater in San Diego to sell alcohol to movie-goers. Representatives of CinemaStar says it's an effort to appeal to a mature demographic, but drug prevention groups and local government officials are worried about safety, underage drinking, and driving under the influence. Host Tom Fudge speaks with a movie theatre representative and a concerned citizen who worries about the precedent this could set for theaters across the county.
