Tom Fudge : Intelligent design is a theory of how life was created on earth that is favored by Christians. Some people call it science, but the scientific community calls it religion. In fact, most of them call it creationism with a new name.
Intelligent design was literally on trial in the state of Pennsylvania. Parents in the Dover school district challenged a school board decision to order science teachers to make negative statements about the theory of evolution. A judge ruled in favor of the parents, and ordered the school district to cease and desist.
