CA Democratic Convention Comes to San Diego
Alan Ray (Guest Host): Not so long ago, the California Democratic Party convention would have been the sort of gathering that could seem like an after-thought. Democrats, so strong in California, seemed like small players on the big national stage.
But that was then, before the 2006 mid-term elections. This is now, with the president's poll numbers at remarkable lows, with Democrats in control of Congress, and with California's presidential primary now moved up to February. This weekend's convention in San Diego is big news, and the more so with a major endorsement already announced.
