Most middle school busing is being eliminated by the budget-strapped Oceanside Unified School District .
Trustees made the cost-cutting move Tuesday, saying the district expects to save about $900,000 a year. Students with disabilities and those living on the Camp Pendleton Marine base will continue to get bus service.
The district is working to trim $8.8 million from its estimated $180 million budget.
Trustees also voted to eliminate 30 nonteaching jobs, which include classroom aides, secretaries and custodians.
