Sizing Up the Democratic National Convention
Tom Fudge : Last night Hillary Clinton told delegates at the Democratic National Convention in Denver that they needed to be a "single party with a single purpose." That purpose, of course, was to win the White House for Barack Obama, Clinton's rival during the nominating process.
If the goal was to put differences within the party behind, Clinton's speech certainly hit all the right notes. At one point, she asked her supporters "Were you in this race just for me?" The answer she sought was "no," they were in it to do right by the country which, in Denver of course, means electing the Democratic Candidate.
