Presidential Race Jumps into High Gear Following the Conventions
Tom Fudge : The past two weeks have brought us the two major party conventions. They've given both major party presidential candidates a lot of publicity, and both candidates have gotten a bump in the polls.
The latest gallup poll, released yeseterday, shows Republican John McCain with a five-point lead among registered voters. At the end of last week, Democrat Barack Obama was still enjoying his bump from the Democratic convention, holding an eight-point lead over McCain. But this is obviously an election that could go either way.
