By Neil Kendricks
When it comes to quality, film festivals go through cycles and the 2009 Sundance Film Festival is no exception. The annual showcase celebrating the state of the art in independent cinema has years when the work is stunning in its innovation. However, this latest installment wasn't the best year for the festival that marked its 25th anniversary. Festival-goers had to make their selections carefully since there were plenty of mediocre films elbowing for space among the truly worthwhile ones screening in Park City.
