Local Pacific Islander Community Organizations

U.T.O.P.I.A. San Diego (United Territories of Pacific Islander Alliance)

UTOPIA San Diego is about understanding each other through the awareness of being Gay or Lesbian. They're about moving beyond the simple tolerance, to embrace and celebrate the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual. UTOPIA San Diego's mission is to provide Unity and Strength amongst their Pacific Islander (Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia) LGBTQIA communities.

Guam Communications Network

The Guam Communications Network was created to facilitate increased public awareness of the issues concerning the people, island and culture of Guam through education, coalition building and advocacy.

Pacific Islanders in Communication

The mission of Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC) is to support, advance, and develop Pacific Island media content and talent that results in a deeper understanding of Pacific Island history, culture, and contemporary challenges. In keeping with the mission, PIC helps Pacific Islander stories reach national audiences through funding support for productions, training and education, broadcast services, and community outreach.

Hui O Hawaii of San Diego

Hui O Hawaii of San Diego was organized over 35 years ago as a social club for Hawaiians away from home and all people interested in Hawaii. Today the Hui O Hawaii is a membership club which promotes Hawaiian culture and social activities with regular meetings, social events, culture classes and luaus.
