A Life Of Adventure, At Any Age

Helen Thayer became a world famous adventurer at age of 50 when she became the first woman to travel alone to the North Pole. Now, almost 30 years later, she and her husband continue to explore different lands and cultures.
Thayer has written several books about her travels, including Polar Dream and Walking the Gobi. She'll was in San Diego in September to speak at the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy.
