Pulling the Heartstrings: Three short films from Brazil, Iran and Bolivia highlight the humanity that was found during the pandemic. Enjoy a short from a filmmaker sending a birthday message to his little sister; a woman describing what it’s like to notice the beauty in little things; and a nurse surprising her daughter with a birthday message.

The Quarantine Film Challenge is a filmmaking contest run by the Film Consortium San Diego where filmmakers from within San Diego County, across the United States of America, and throughout the globe are invited to participate. Filmmakers are asked to write, edit, shoot and submit an under 5-minute film based on or inspired by their experience during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
