GARROW'S LAW, based on the career of pioneering Georgian-era barrister William Garrow, is a courtroom drama torn from the pages of history. In this third series, Garrow continues to champion the rights of prisoners against the power of the State. Andrew Buchan ("Cranford," "Party Animals"), Alun Armstrong ("New Tricks," "Little Dorrit") and Lyndsey Marshall ("Rome") star in this series inspired by actual legal cases from the late 18th century.

"The cases are fascinating. They are written very honestly and accurately, and are, dramatically speaking, very challenging to perform." - Andrew Buchan

GARROW'S LAW is set in the Old Bailey of Georgian London against a backdrop of corruption and social injustice. Each episode begins with the investigation of a case sourced from the Old Bailey archives — from rape and murder to high treason, and follows Garrow and his associate John Southouse working to uncover the truth as they fight for justice.

Episode One airs Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 11 p.m. - Pioneering 18th century barrister William Garrow returns to the Bailey to champion the rights of prisoners. Based on the true story of James Hadfield — accused of attempting to assassinate King George III — Garrow risks his reputation to defend the indefensible. And he changes British law forever.

Episode Two airs Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 11 p.m. - Two men accused of destroying silk looms in an act of industrial sabotage cower in the dock: their defense is perilously thin. Garrow must persuade a skeptical jury of their innocence. Love and loyalty compete with fear and betrayal in the brutal surroundings of the 18th century Bailey.

Episode Three airs Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 11 p.m. - Garrow is confronted with an impossible choice: to expose British colonial brutality in open court or to re-unite Lady Sarah with her son. The dangerously ill Southouse intervenes and Garrow is forced to decide. Love or honor? It cannot be both.

Episode Four airs Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 11 p.m. - A vicious riot erupts after polling has closed in the Westminster constituency. As the crowd parts, an old man lies on the ground, brutally clubbed to death. Garrow, alone and grieving, gets pulled into a complex web of conspiracy and cover-up, of political double-dealing and the abuse of power.

These episodes originally aired in 2012.
