If it fits in a deep fryer, someone somewhere at the San Diego County Fair will probably be selling it.
This year’s fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds opens June 3 and ends July 4 (full schedule here). The festival takes a page from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” with the theme “Mad About The Fair.”
Not that Lewis Carroll could have conceived the array of deep-fried, bacon-wrapped, sugary calorie bombs the fair’s Mad Hatter vendors are offering this summer.
And from June 17 to June 19, visitors can chase them all down with hundreds of different types of beer at the 10th annual San Diego International Beer Festival. (Entertainment also includes mariachi music, demolition derbies and a dance competition.)
