"Five Dreamers” chronicles the past and present lives of five young adults from the Denver community who came to the U.S. at early age from countries around the world, and are participants in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program known as D.A.C.A.
In 2012, D.A.C.A. was created by President Obama to protect the rights of eligible immigrant children who had arrived in the United States. In 2017, President Trump rescinded that protection.
This half-hour film was created to assist in understanding the unique situation our communities and these young people find themselves in.
