In California there is near unanimous support for a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, according to the state's Field Poll.

Across California, 90 percent of voters favor citizenship for undocumented immigrants under conditions of living here for a number of years, current employment, learning English and paying back taxes.

A 53 percent majority of voters also favor allowing undocumented residents to obtain California driver's licenses.

The Field Poll highlights the strong Latino presence in the nation’s largest state. Later this summer, Latinos are positioned to surpass whites as the largest demographic group in California.

The Field Poll is a state-wide, non-partisan public opinion survey established in 1947.
