A power outage on Wednesday forced the closure of Grossmont College, which will remain shut down Thursday, school officials said.

The outage was caused by crews who were working on a 12-kilovolt electrical line along the campus perimeter road, according to Anne Krueger of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.

Krueger said all offices were closed and classes canceled.

The campus will reopen on Tuesday, following Monday's July 4 holiday, she said.
