Light Rain Heading To San Diego

A slow-moving low pressure system will bring intermittent showers to San Diego County today through Saturday, meteorologists said.

The bulk of the precipitation will mostly likely occur this afternoon through tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Rainfall totals from the system are expected to reach up to a tenth of an inch near the coast, three-tenths in the valleys, an inch in the mountains and a quarter-inch in desert areas.

"(It will be) warmer and dry next week, with high pressure aloft and weak to locally moderate offshore flow,'' the NWS said.
