The War's Personal Toll

The United States military is struggling to fight two wars at once — in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some troops have served three, even four tours, and it's taking a toll on enlisted men and women and the families they leave behind.

Ret. Navy diving officer Gregory Black runs a Web site — BlackMilitaryWorld.com — that serves as a source of news and information about African-Americans in the military and explains the impact on the other homefront.
