U.S., India Advance Nuclear Trade Deal

Almost three years ago, President Bush and India's prime minister reached an unprecedented agreement that promised to lift the U.S. ban on nuclear trade with India. The deal also provided U.S. assistance to India's civilian nuclear energy program. Last year, the deal stalled due to conflicts in the Indian government. Now, India appears to be moving forward with it.

Steve Inskeep talks to Ashley Tellis, senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, about the developments.
